Apartment renovation. Turin
Complete renovation of an apartment inside a 19th century low-rise, situated at a stone’s throw from one of Torino’s main railway stations, Porta Susa. The lay-out, restricted by load-bearing walls of remarkable width, has been reorganised by creating a new volume, which by encompassing a part of the wide and unused entrance, has made it possible to create a new storage, utility rooms, and bathroom.
Where possible (in the day area) the original wooden floors have been restored, alternated with new parts of cement flooring, walls, and kitchen surface.
Most of the furnishings are designed to measure.
